Marvin Ray Hill
Marvin Ray Hill, 82, died February 28, 2016 at Valley Manor Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Marvin was born November 28, 1933 to Charley and Fern Hill. He married Barbara Christensen on July 25, 1953. They have been married for 62 years. She survives of the home.
Marvin worked for the City of Excelsior Springs for 17 years, as the head of public works. He then started his own heavy construction company in 1970.
Marvin is survived by his wife, Barbara, and two sisters, Betty Trimm of Galatin, Mo., and Audrey Turner of Excelsior Springs, Mo. He is also survived by his children, Rhonda (Jim) McKown of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Regina (Mark) Friday of Overland Park, Kans., and Mark (Myra) Hill of Excelsior Springs, Mo. He leaves behind many beloved grandchildren, Ryan (Samantha) Lowry, Trent (Nicole) Lowry, Jimmy McKown, Scott (Caroline) Friday, Mallory Friday, Michaela (Tim) Dalinghaus, Alec Hill, Connor Hill and Carson Hill; three great grandchildren, Harper Friday, Reese and Grady Dalinghaus, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Services are at 10 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2016, also at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home.
