Vashti Becker
Vashti Becker, 93, Springfield, Mo. (formerly of Kearney, Mo.), died Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010, in Buffalo, Mo. Ms. Becker was born Oct. 15, 1916, in Verdon, Neb., the daughter of Orra Drapper. She worked for the Kansas City (Mo.) Board of Education as a clerk. Survivors include three children, Jack Babcock, Raymond Babcock and Sherry Berthot; and three grandsons, Russell, Raymond Jr. and Michael Babcock. Cremation. Private services. Arrangements are through Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney.
