Joyce Ann Mapes of Liberty, Missouri, passed away at 82 years of age on May 28, 2026. Joyce was born on August 23, 1943.
Joyce had a great love of her family and her pets.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Inez Cooper, and her sister, Shirley O’Halek.
She is survived by her husband, William Roy Mapes; son, William D. Mapes; daughter, Denise A. Losh; son, Scott A. Mapes; and son, Tony W. Mapes. She has 11 grandkids, and three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson, Kearney, MO 64060.
She will be greatly missed by her family.
