Madison Hart Ellington, 31, Kearney, Mo., passed away on February 17, 2017. Madison Hart Ellington, son of Bennie and Debra Ellington, was born on December 21, 1985.
Madison graduated from Kearney High School in 2004 and had received an AS in Computer Network Management from ITT institute. He was an avid Chiefs fan and enjoyed attending games at Arrowhead Stadium. His favorite movie was Ghostbusters, his favorite book was the trilogy Lord of the Rings and his favorite album was Dark Side of the Moon by Pink Floyd.
Madison was a loving father and husband. His wife and daughters were the pride of his life and spending time with them was a priority for him. He enjoyed sleeping during a rain, relaxing in his hammock, football, good food, hunting and associating with his many friends. Madison always had time for good conversation with young and old alike, was never in a hurry and would offer to help anyone who needed it, whether they asked or not.
He is survived by his wife Tracy (Ledford) Ellington; daughters, Tamera Ellington and Emma Ellington; parents, Bennie and Debra Ellington; twin brother, Mitchell Ellington; father-in-law, Tom Ledford; mother-in-law, Janice Horton; grandfather, Paul Kemp; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Private family only service will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church, Kearney, Mo. A Celebration of Life will be held May 20, 2017 at the Ellington farm for any who wish to attend. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations for Madison’s daughter’s education fund.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.

I was very saddened to hear that your son Madison passed away. I did not have a chance to meet Madison however I can just see from his picture that he was a nice person raised by two great parents. I am keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers during this very difficult time.
