Paul Howard Jeffery

Paul “Pete” Howard Jeffery, 77, died April 11, 2017 at Liberty Hospital.

Paul was born in Izard County, Ark., to Lawrence and Hester (Mayfield) Jeffery. He graduated from high school at Calico Rock, Ark., in 1958.

Paul married Thelma Greer September 4, 1959. To this union they had two children, a daughter, Carolyn, and a son, Tim.

Paul lived most of his life in the Kansas City area. He worked in the trucking industry. He was an avid Royals fan and he and Thelma sang together at many churches in the area. He was of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma, of the home; his daughter, Carolyn (Bryan) Knutter, Lawson; his son, Tim (Eugenia) Jeffery, Lawson; five grandchildren, Christopher (Ronda) Knutter, Alyssa Jeffery-Vesser, Brenton Jeffery, Craig (Andrea) Knutter, and Jeffery Knutter; four great grandchildren; one brother, Robert Jeffery; three sisters, Nancy Sheffield, Eloise Oliver and Attie Rush; and many adoring nieces and nephews.

There will be an informal family and friends visitation Friday, April 14, 2017 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Old Union Church, Lawson, Mo.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Union Church in memory of Paul.

Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, Lawson.

I can’t be with you in person, but I’m with you in my heart. I love all of you very much and am praying for comfort and peace for you. God is always faithful, he never leaves us. We know that Pete had a wonderful homecoming and is now just waiting for us to join him. Love you guys.
