I, Jim Croskey, lived 76 years
I lived with my son that I loved so dear
College Station, Texas was my reside
It was there that I fought and tried
I battled cancer and gave a good fight
At the same time keeping the Lord in sight
April 23rd was when I crossed over
I left this shell, this painful enclosure
I leave behind my son, Tary, and his beautiful kids of 3, Tyler, Jarod and Emily
I was called Jim, Jimmy, James and brother
All of which I answered to good or bad
But most favorite to hear was being called Dad
I marched in the army and rode horses on a ranch
I was in love with Charleen, it was love at first glance
Now I lay in peace beside her again
I’ll see you all later, my family and friends
A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Crownhill Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, Mo. The Reverend Earl Mitchell will be officiating.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
Our Sincere Condolences
John and I are so very sorry for the passing of Uncle Jim. I never met him but loved talking to him on the phone. He would always sign off by saying love you Hun. I will miss hearing him say that to me. But even though I never met him he will be in my heart.
RIP UNCLE JIM. LOVE YOU HUN!!!!!!!!!!!
LOVE JOHN AND CONNIE
