Martha “Jean” Scanlon, 88, of Lee’s Summit, Mo., died April 27, 2017 at John Knox Village House.
Martha “Jean” (Hall) Scanlon was born October 1, 1928 to Ralph and Winifred Hall of Breckenridge, Mo. She lived in Breckenridge for most of her life. She married the love of her life, Francis “Biggy” Scanlon, on June 27, 1947.
She is survived by her two sons, Jim (wife Lori), Columbia, Mo., and Mark (wife Jane), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; niece, Charlotte Tinsley (husband Kevin), Lee’s Summit, Mo.; seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren. Additional surviving family members include two brothers, Ralph Hall (wife Nigel), and Bill Hall (wife Jaci); and several nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church in Lee’s Summit, Mo., at 10:30 a.m. on May 2, 2017. Visitation will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. prior to the mass. Burial at Rose Hill Cemetery, Breckenridge, Mo. at 2 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Our Lady of the Presentation Catholic Church, Lee’s Summit, MO or St. Michaels the Arch Angel High School, Lee’s Summit, MO.
