Richard Michael Davis, 71, Kansas City, Mo., passed away September 22, 2017.
Richard was born November 19, 1945 to Michael Alvin and DeVona Imogene (McCartney) Davis in Elwood, Penn. He married Shirley McKown on April 20, 1990 in Las Vegas, Nev. He was a U.S. Marine Sergeant veteran serving during Vietnam. After his time in the service he worked as an electrical engineer for Midland Radio. In his free time he enjoyed fishing and playing craps at Harrah’s Casino. He also enjoyed collecting locomotives. Rirchard also enjoyed flying with his friends, they often would go for a bite to eat. He is now soaring with the angels.
He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Larry Alvin; aunt, Lillian Tessa Belle; and cousin, Linda Diann.
He is survived by his wife, Shirley of the home; daughter, Dawn Rene Stalder; son, Robert Allen and wife, Darla Stalder; daughters, Kristen and Michelle; grandchildren, Ryan and wife, Kayla Cordova, Amanda Stalder, and Michael Stalder; great grandchildren, Keiley, Raridy and Bronx Cordova; sisters, DeVona Gail and Cynda Darlene; brother, Jerry Allen; brothers and sister-in-law, Caroline McGonigle, Bill McKown, and Terry (Joyce) McKown.
Graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2017 at Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
Arrangements are through Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs.
