Virginia Ann Ellington, 80, Kearney, Mo., passed away October 26, 2017.
Virginia was born January 3, 1937 to Vincent and Daisey Werth in Topeka, Kans. She married Cletus Ellington August 8, 1954. Virginia had worked for Hallmark Cards, Ford Motor Co., and retired from Davis Paint in 2002. She was a member of Kearney United Methodist Church, ABWA, Clay County Extension Club and Merri Marthas.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two brothers, Vincent Lee and Raymond Harold Werth; and a sister, Peggy Marie DeMoss.
She is survived by three daughters; Deborah (Wallace) Wilkerson, Cynthia (Larry) Jordan and Teresa (Rick) Kinney; seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Kearney, Mo., with visitation one hour prior. The family suggests in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Alzheimer’s or Diabetes Association.

Virginia was very kind to Bob and I. She sent us a Christmas Card after she moved to town, and we exchanged cards for many years. Virginia was a wonderful example of what it means to be a Christian; I appreciated her loving heart.
