Betty Garland, 84, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away December 3, 2017.
Betty was proceeded in death by her parents, Benny Joe Love and Opal Faye Coleman-Love. She was the last of 11 siblings, growing up loving and taking care of each other to the very end. She was preceded in death by sisters, Donna Hawkins, Helen Lowry, Bonnie Adams and Shirley Mae Love; and brothers, Junior Love, Billy Love, Sammy Love, Bobby Love, Jack Love and Richard Love. She was also proceeded in death by her first husband, Bob Stark, and her late husband, Gilbert Garland.
She was loved by many nieces and nephews . In her final months she was cared for by nephew Sammy Love, niece Becky Campbell, great-niece Janae Spear, cousin Janelle Coleman and her sister-in-law Mary E. Colvin-Love.
She worked at Linda Lane Garment factory, Whiticker Cable and Cedars of Liberty. She loved crafting and making dolls and selling them at the local swap and shops.
Visitation will be from 6 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. A Graveside Service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, December 7, 2017 at McCroskie Baptist Cemetery, Carrollton, Mo.
