Norma J. Herndon, 88, of Lawson, Mo., passed away March 19, 2018. Norma was born August 5, 1929 to parents George and Virginia Randle, who preceded her in death. Norma enjoyed crafting, painting, crocheting, and gardening. She also liked to cook, listen to music, and play the Dulcimer. Norma especially loved spending time with her grandkids, being on the farm and caring for the animals, and sitting in her rocking chair on her front porch visiting with neighbors and all who walked by. Norma was a member of the Garland Chapter 287 of Smithville, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, Miller K. Herndon; daughters, Connie N. Sander and husband Ralph, and Pamela J. Walker; son, David L. Long and wife Jeanne-Marie; granddaughters, Amanda J. Dillon and Amber Long; grandson, Joshua Dillon; and brother, Lee Mason.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo., with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow the service at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smithville, Mo.
