Jackie Mae Ferguson, 90, of Pleasant Hill, Mo., passed away July 7, 2018.
Jackie Mae Ferguson was born in Clifton, Tennessee on April 23, 1928 to Elmer and Ola Williams. In 1951, Jackie moved to the Kansas City area with her husband, Reverend Dennis Louis Smith. They were married for 29 years before his passing. After Reverend Smith passed away, Jackie married Charles Edwin Ferguson. They were married for 20 years. Both Jackie and Charles worked at Ford Motor Co. in Claycomo. Jackie worked for Ford for 13-1/2 years before retiring in 1987. Charles passed away in 1996. Jackie moved to the Lawson area to be closer to her family. During her life, Jackie had five children of her own. She also raised a granddaughter and two stepdaughters and three stepsons.
Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Ola Williams; husbands, Reverend Dennis Smith and Charles Ferguson; children, Paula Collins and Larry Bevil; granddaughter, Tara Travilli; and a great granddaughter, Jacquelyne Kay Williams; as well as seven brothers and two sisters.
Jackie is survived by children, Linda and Joe Berry of Cowgill, MO, Denise and Jack Cannon of Goodwater, AL, Larry and Mary Smith of Polo, MO, Tammie and Mike Lea of Lawson, MO, Kimberly and Darrell Williams of Independence, MO, Ronnie Bevil of Denver, CO, John Ferguson of Illinois, Diana Warren of Kansas City, MO, and Claudia Crabb, of Independence, MO; 16 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren, and seven great great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 12:30 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2018 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, MO, with visitation from 11:30 to 12:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow at Belton Cemetery, Belton, MO.
Jackie will be laid to rest between her two husbands, Dennis and Charles.
