Kathy Ann Martin

Kathy Ann Martin, 62, Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away August 6, 2018 at her home.

Mrs. Martin was born August 30, 1955 to Norbert “Shorty” and Betty Gamblin in Independence, Mo. She graduated from Decatur Community High School in Oberlin, Kans., in 1973.  She enjoyed reading, cooking, crocheting and spoiling her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Tommie Martin Sr.; sons, Tommie Jr. and wife, Shellie, and their children, Nicole, Tylor, Preston, Kinley and Tommie III of Richmond, Mo.; Daron and wife, Brittany, and their children, Rilyn, Lexy and Abby of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; brother, Chuck and wife, Sharon, of Oberlin, Kans.; sisters, Millie and husband, Marvin Matchett of Norton, Kans., and Lisa and husband, Mark Henderson of Siloam Springs, Ark.; step-sisters, Melody and husband, Andy Griffin of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Chris and husband, Rick Young of Excelsior Springs, Mo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 6 p.m., Thursday, August 9, 2018 with a Celebration of Life service immediately following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo.
