John Michael Cooper

John Michael “Mickey” Cooper, was born March 2, 1943 to Jack Hoyt and Gladys Harrington Cooper in Kansas City, Mo.

John graduated from St. Mary’s Grade School and attended Paseo High School in Kansas City, Mo.

He joined the United States Army in 1960 where he was selected as Commander’s Orderly in basic training.

John worked as a truck driver and farmer until he retired in 1998.

John was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and a brother.

He is survived by his wife, Linda Reagin Cooper; son and daughter in law, John David and Angela Cooper; grandson, Nathanial Cooper; granddaughter, Alex Porter; sisters, Jacquelyn Pfeifer and Gloria Goodman; brother, Donald Cooper; and many nieces and nephews.

John was a member of Faith Assembly of God in Polo for many years. He gave tirelessly of his time and support.

Visitation will be held from 1 to 2 p.m., Thursday, August 23, 2018 at the Assembly of God, Lawson, Mo., with service following. Burial services, with military honors, will be at Missouri State Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, Mo., at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Faith Assembly of God at 6680 S. Highway 13, Polo, MO.

Our Sincere Condolences

I knew John when I attended the Lawson Assembly of God Church years ago. I would like to extend my sincere condolences to Linda and son John David in the passing of their loved one. May you be comforted by the love of friends and family. May our heavenly father wrap his comforting arms around you and carry you through the coming days ahead. His memory lives on in your hearts, may you find comfort in looking back at the memories you made together. May your spirits be lifted up knowing your loved one is watching over you from above. Again I’m so sorry for your loss.
