Leona O’Dell Dye, age 94, passed away October 14, 2018, at the Excelsior Springs Hospital. She was born in Excelsior Springs, Mo., on August 3, 1924, to Ezra and Edith O’Dell.
Leona graduated from Excelsior Springs High School and she had various jobs. Until passing away, she lived alone at the Saratoga apartments for 23 years. Leona had many friends and everyone who met her loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Franklin O’Dell and Ferell O’Dell.
She leaves behind a son, James Donald Lyman and daughter-in-law, Judy Lyman; three grandchildren, James Michael Lyman of Liberty, Mo., Shelly Vaughn of Excelsior Springs, Mo., and Rodney Lyman of Flordia; five great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, October 22, 2018, from 2 to 3 p.m. at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo., with a memorial service to immediately follow at 3 p.m.
