Linda Kay Nicholson-Brown, 67, of Kansas City, Mo., passed away October 20, 2018 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
Linda was born November 2, 1950 to John Will and Katherine (Wilborn) Nicholson. She worked as an Occupational Therapist throughout Kansas and later in Victoria, BC, Canada. Linda graduated with an undergraduate degree in Occupational Therapy with a specialty in developmental neuro-physiology from Kansas University followed by a Masters at Colorado State University. Her passion for her career, once described to her as a combination of psychology, physical medicine and art, continued throughout her life. Her other passions including (but not limited to) reading, making stained glass, music and riding motorcycles, filled her life with friends and joy.
Linda is survived by her partner, Alan Heartfield; daughter, Jessie (Devin); son, Jason (Kaylee); brother, John Arch Nicholson; and grandchildren, Madison, Lincoln and Sidney.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Patty Walters; and husband, Jay Brown.
Linda’s generosity, enthusiasm, and loving nature will be missed by all who met her.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3, 2018 at Fry-Bross & Spidle Funeral Home in Kearney, Mo., with visitation from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service.
