Mary Kathleen Nolker, 86, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., went home to be with her Heavenly Father on February 19, 2019. Mary, better known to her friends as Cassie, was born May 8, 1932 to Palmer Shelton and Delka Duncan Shelton.
She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1950. She was married to William J. Nolker, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are her daughter, Sabra Shepard; grandchildren, Jamison Shepard and Melissa Shepard; great-grandchildren, Brianna Shepard and Cade Ranum.
She was the matriarch of our family. She was a homemaker. She was strong, forthright and devout in her faith to the Lord. She was an avid gardener and loved nature. She will be very much missed by her family and dear friends.
A short intimate service with family and friends will be held on February 27, 2019 from 1 to 2 p.m. at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs. Burial will follow at Crown Hill Cemetery.
