William T. Guilkey

William T. Guilkey, 91, Lawson, Mo., died Sunday, March 31, 2019 at Cameron Missouri Veterans Home.

William married Viola Mae Smith on June 11, 1945.  He was a member of the Lawson Bible Church in Lawson, Mo.  He served many positions in his church from teaching, singing and deacon.  He loved church and church hymns.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Margaret Guilkey; two brothers, Charles and Scott Guilkey; one sister, Ann Keyte; his wife, Viola Mae Guilkey; and his second wife, Dorothy May (Allnut) Guilkey.

He is survived by two sons, Thomas L. and wife, Gloria, and Eugene D. and wife, Kathy; daughter, Evelyn Louise and husband, Randy Ranes; two sisters, Martha Bader and Sue Hisel; eight grandchildren and 23 great grandchildren.  He will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m., Thursday, April 4, 2019 at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, 214 N. Pennsylvania Ave., Lawson, MO, with service following. Private burial at Lawson Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to Convoy of Hope of Springfield, MO, or Veterans Community Project Tiny Houses.
