Mary Lou was born July, 25, 1935 in Salisbury, Missouri to Ben and Grace Roling. She was a 1953 graduate of St. Joseph High School. On June 2, 1953 she married Donald Fuenfhausen. Together, as devoted husband and wife, they embarked on a life time of love, commitment and joy. They were married over 55 years until the death of Don in 2008.
Faith and family were the cornerstones for Mary Lou and Don. They began their married life in Elizabethtown, Kentucky during Don’s Army service in the Korean War. They later moved to Kansas City, Missouri for a short time, eventually settling in Liberty, Missouri in 1957. Their holy union of marriage resulted in four children: Jim, Ken, Debbie and Scott. Mary Lou’s greatest joy was her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, and son, Jim.
Mary is survived by her son Ken and wife Teresa, daughter Debbie and husband Dennis, and son Scott. She was not only a wonderful Mom but an incredible grandmother and great-grandmother. She was affectionately known to her grandchildren as Grammy Bear, Gram, Grandma and Grammy, but they all meant one thing to her: unconditional love. She is survived by her grandchildren, Matthew and wife Kerrie, Catie and husband Aaron, Anna, Jake, Jaime and husband Nick, Sean and Trent. Her great-grandchildren include Abby, Evan, Nora, Izzie and Oliver. She is also survived by her sister Jennie Weber and sister-in-law Ramona Fuenfhausen.
Mary Lou’s lifetime connection with her faith resulted in her long, active relationship with St. James Parish. As a parishioner for 62 years she participated in several activities within the church; however, one of her greatest loves was the music during masses. This led her to be a part of the music ministry for many, many years.
Her work history included several years of employment with G.M. Peters Insurance Agency in Liberty, Missouri.
Mary Lou’s legacy to us all is the importance of faith, family and friends. She taught us that God’s love transcends all things and that we all, one day, will be celebrating together once again. Mary Lou began her new adventure of eternal life on May 18, 2019 where she was greeted by her husband, Don, and her son, Jim.

Our Sincere Condolences
With sincere sympathy in the loss of your Mother.
Mary Lou was a beautiful lady inside and out. When she would come into the beauty shop she always had a smile on her face and happy to see everyone, a very kind lady.
We will miss her beautiful smile in the shop.
God’s blessings to all of you.
