Mark Douglas Mitchell passed into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 1, 2019.
On January 21, 1953, Mary (Betty) Mitchell and James W. Outersky welcomed their son into the world. Mark grew up in Olathe, Kansas, and joined the U.S. Navy in 1970. He eventually moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, and was a construction superintendent for over 30 years. Upon his retirement from construction he moved to Lawson, Missouri, to be closer to his parents.
He is preceded in death by his biological father, James Outersky and his father, Larry Mitchell.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Mitchell of the home in Lawson, Missouri; brothers, Brad Outersky of Missouri, Gary Mitchell of Arizona, and Lawrence Douglas Mitchel (Lillian) of Nevada; sisters, Karen and Sharon Mitchell, both of Las Vegas, Nevada; niece and nephews, Bonnie and Brian Olson of Lawson, Missouri, Cristy and Lance Newell of Oklahoma, Erik Galvan of Las Vegas, Nevada; and great nieces and nephews, Ian and Elise Newell and Bryan Jr. and Madison Olson.
Mark died after a long battle with COPD.
Services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, June 14, 2019 at Missouri Veteran’s Cemetery in Higginsville, MO.
Memorials may be made to Liberty Hospital Hospice.
