Nicholas “Nick” Sparks, 35, Kansas City, Mo., passed away on September 8, 2019.
Nick was born on July 2, 1984 to Gary and Cookie Sparks. He attended Kearney, Mo., schools until age 15 and moved and graduated from Lathrop Schools in 2003.
Nick is survived by the love of his life, Robin Creason; and two stepsons, Skyler and Hunter Creason. He leaves oldest brother, Andrew “Andy” Sparks and sister- in-law, Summer, of Liberty, Mo., and brother, Joseph “Joe” Sparks and sister-in-law, Olga, of Kearney, Mo.; his mother, Cookie Sparks, of Kansas City, Mo., as well as his father, Gary Sparks and his wife, Connie, of Independence, Mo. Nick is survived by his nieces, Serenity, Josie, Brynlee, Norah and Stella, all who filled his heart with love. Nick loved to participate in family functions and usually spent his time with the nieces. Last but not least, his loyal puppy, Kalli.
Nick loved the KC Chiefs, and anything sports. He enjoyed all kinds of music, muscle cars, and was a wonderful poet. Nick had our Holy Father within his heart, mind and soul. He could recite Gospel verses for any situation. Nick used the initials TF on many writings. TF stood for True Faith.
Nick will be missed by all. His sense of humor, and his loving ways, Nick never met a stranger and was a friend to all. He would always say “Mom, you can’t stay mad at me cause I am your Baby Boy!” Nick was correct.
In lieu of flowers, Nick would want donations to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

My most favorite and hilarious memory of Nick was when I was his school resource officer and he decided to sleep in one day and not go to school, being in charge of truancy I contacted his mom who was at work and gave me permission to go in the house to talk to him and when so did he literally jumped out of the second story window and took off! We laughed about that for years and I actually became good friends with his mom too! Nick was a really really good and loving kid but had his own ways of doing things and I can appreciate that as I was the same way as a kid! I have never stopped thinking about this tragic end to his life and hold his entire family in my thoughts, prayers and my heart! Let’s all keep remembering him because he deserves that!!
