Craig Anthony Helden, 23, of Kearney Mo., passed away December 21, 2019. Mr. Helden was born, November 21, 1996 in Kansas City, Kans.
Craig was a loving husband and father to all five of his children. His dream was to teach his children his favorite hobbies, hunting and fishing. He was very proud of all his accomplishments in life. Everyone who met Craig could agree that his smile lit up the room.
Craig worked at Addington Place Of Prairie Village in Kansas, where he was the Director Of Environmental Services where he very much admired all his co-workers and residents.
He was preceded in death by his father, Russell DeWayne Helden, and his step-mom, Ami Melissa Helden.
He is survived by his wife, Cherokee Maureen Helden; children, Braxden, Brantley, Ava, Carson and Corbin Helden; grandparents, Bonnie and Walt Helden; brothers, Justin Helden, Nick Helden and Seth Shoemaker; sisters, Corrie Griffith, Jessica Van Meter, Hollie Gholson and Rachel Helden; mother, Irene “Kay” Simmons; mother and father-in-law, Janice and Thomas Ledford.
A celebration of his life will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. prior to the service.
