Judith Arlene Johnson

Judith “Judy” Arlene Johnson, 75, of Kansas City, Mo. passed away December 30, 2019 at Pleasant Valley Manor Care Center, Liberty, Mo., from lung cancer.

Judy was born on December 15, 1944 in Kansas City, Mo., to Wayne and Eunice Johnson. She grew up in the country near Kearney, Mo., and attended elementary school at Pleasant Grove country school. She attended Lawson High School and graduated in 1962. She worked many years at Southwestern Bell before she retired. Judy loved horseback riding, fishing, arts and crafts, painting and her beloved cats, Oreo and Sputnik.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne L. Johnson and Eunice N. Johnson; brother-in-law, Gary E. Unger; and nephew, Monte E. Unger.

Judy is survived by her sister, Sandra J. Unger (Gary) of Janesville, Wisc.; nieces, Cindy J. Martin (Steve) of Liberty, Mo., and Tamara N. Peterson (Randy) of Janesville, Wisc.; nephew, Justin W. Unger (Robin) of Evans, Georgia; cousins, Wanda Stevens, Beverly Roark, Nancy Nichols, Phillip Johnson and Roberta Holt. Also, several beloved great nieces and nephews.

She will be missed by many friends.

I worked for Judy as an In-Home aid for two years…. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. She was incredibly sweet and kind, had a lot of interesting stories to tell about her life.
I will miss her so much and enjoyed the time spent with her.
