Larry Ray HarboltLarry Ray “Bolt” Harbolt, 71, Lawson, MO, passed away January 26, 2020 at Valley Manor Care Center.

Larry was born September 22, 1948 to George Eddie and Euda Geneva Hobbs Harbolt in Kansas City, MO.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, George Harbolt and Robert Bennett.

Survivors include his sister-in-laws, Patty Harbolt, Shirley Bennett, and Sandra Bennett; nieces and nephews, Kim Bennett (Denise), Terry Bennett-Hardin, Kelly McKenzie, Eddy Harbolt, John Harbolt, Sherry Harbolt, Cyndi Bennett (Craig); and many friends.

Larry was a longtime community member, he served his country in Vietnam, and served KCMO as a police officer, South Platte Fire Dispatcher, and KCKFD.  Larry then retired from Lawson Fire Department after 31 years. Larry remained active with the fire department after his retirement.  He was the fire house smile you wanted to see and will be greatly missed by his friends. Larry remained active with the fire department after his retirement. Larry enjoyed NASCAR racing and spending time with his friends.

He will be greatly missed by friends and family.

Visitation will be held from 9 to 11 a.m., Friday, January 31, 2020 with service following at the Lawson United Christian and Presbyterian Church, 305. E. 4th St., Lawson, MO., burial following at Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Rodney Cates to help with funeral expenses.
