Jay France Lewis, 93, Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away January 27, 2020 at North Kansas City Hospital.
Mr. Lewis was born February 25, 1926 in Mountain Home, Arkansas. He served in the Army during WWII in Pacific Theatre. After his time in the service he worked on oil rigs until getting a job with Ford Motor Company where he worked 38 years.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Carol Sullivan; grandson, Jason Sullivan; parents, John and Tilda Lewis; all twelve siblings, James, Ruby, Mildred, Dortha, Rosie, Cuba, Frank, Roy, Margie, Mary, Henry and JW.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Lewis of the home; one son, Eugene Reeves of Arizona; two stepdaughters, Patricia Ann Eby and Barbara Gipson, both of Excelsior Springs.
Memorial visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., Saturday, February 15, 2020 with service following at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Burial Crown Hill Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, MO.
