Stephen Richard Elliott, was born to John and Doris Elliott on November 17, 1948 and passed away peacefully at his home on May 31, 2020 in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Stephen is survived by an older brother, John Douglas of Ames, Iowa, and younger brothers, David (presence unknown), Denton (Paula) of rural Boone County, Iowa, James (Stefni) of Ames, Iowa, and Richard (Kim) of McKinney, Texas; along with several nieces and nephews.
He graduated from Ames High school in 1967 and enlisted in the United States Navy, serving in the United States Navy and then the reserves in San Diego area for 4 years.
Later in life, Steve settled into Excelsior Springs, Mo., calling this area home for the last several years. He had a penchant of making friends and had a heart of gold. He was a hard worker and was always willing to pitch in. He will be missed by many, especially the people who knew him.
