Tera Sue Michler-Huntsman Rose

Tera “Teri” Rose was born December 3, 1975 at Bethany Hospital in Kansas City, Kans., to Harold J. “Jim” and Carol J. Michler. She moved to Kearney, Mo., in February 1978 when she was 2 years old. She changed her last name to Michler-Huntsman to include and honor her step-father, whom she said was not a step father, but was her Dad.

Teri graduated from Kearney High School in May of 1994 and married Micheal Wayne Rose in August of 1994. Teri and Mike lived in Liberty, Holt and then settled in Lathrop, Mo. Teri had an associate degree in Administrative Office Specialist and was 3 months away from having a double bachelor’s degree in Business Management & Accounting. She was currently employed at Casey’s in Lathrop.

Teri passed away peacefully on July 28, 2020 at home.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harold J. Michler; her dad, Thomas D. Huntsman; and  her brother, Thomas J. Huntsman.

She is survived by her husband, Micheal “Mike” W. Rose; two daughters, Dallas L. Richardson and husband Blake, and Jammie N. Rose, and grandson, Christian M. Richardson, all of Lathrop; sister, Wendy E. Johnson and husband Larry; two nieces, Stephany K. Carr and husband Adam, of Excelsior Springs, and Brandy L. Atkins and husband Logan, of Richmond; and her mother, Carol J. Huntsman of Kearney.

A memorial service is planned to be held at Tryst Falls Park just east of Kearney.
