Charles Patterson Sr., of Rayville, Mo., formerly of St. Louis, passed away Friday, October 9, 2020 at Liberty Hospital from congestive heart failure. Charles was born June 18, 1951 in Springfield, Ill., to parents Charles Alvin Patterson and Carole M. Beltner. Charles was a retired funeral director of 50 years.
Charles is preceded in death by his father.
Charles is survived by his wife of 24 years, Susan; his mother, Carole Vallero; son, Charles Jr.; and brothers, Frank Clark and Tod Patterson.
There will be no funeral service at this time.
The family suggests memorial contributions to the Humane Society of Missouri.

Just came across the passing of Mr. Patterson yesterday. Noticed his mothers name was Carole M. Beltner. I had two half sisters in Collinsville, Illinois. One was Carol Valero. I never got to meet any of the Patterson family, but I want then to know I send them all my deepest sympathy! Charles Jr. favored my brother William Beltner very much. I am a retired police officer here in WV. and now work at a funeral home. Again, sorry for your loss, and God bless you and your family.
