G. Dean Roush

G Dean RoushG. Dean Roush was born April 16, 1936 in Moran, Kans., the first of four sons, to Fred and Elvira Roush. He grew up, graduated High School and attended Junior College in Iola, Kans. His first marriage gave him a son, David.

On July 3, 1965 he married Zola Taylor. Dean and Zola eventually settled in their Excelsior Springs, Mo., area. Two daughters, Rhonda and Deana, blessed their marriage and were raised in the family home in Wood Heights.

Dean was retired from the Ford Motor Company at the Claycomo Assembly Plant. He had a special passion for bowling and had a bowling business, which he ran as a hobby more than a business, in the basement of the home. He loved attending the Salem Christian Union Church and cherished the friendships and fellowship he recieved there.

Family members who preceded him in death include his parents, Fred and Elvira, and his brothers, Eugene and Merlin.

Surviving him is his wife, Zola, of Wood Heights; his daughters, Rhonda (Steve) Stewart of Excelsior Springs, and Deana (Paul) Provow of Kearney, Mo.; his son, David, Wichita, Kans.; granddaughters, Danielle (Stefan), Kelsey (Max), Taylor (Cameron), Caitlin (Logan), and Letitia; four great grandchildren; and his younger brother, Philip.

A private service will be held in his honor on November 27, 2020. Anyone wishes to make a memorial donation in his memory is encouraged to send those to Salem Christian Union Church, c/o Jim Rupe, 305 Samphil, Lawson, MO 64062.
