Doris was simply the very best, most loving Mother-in- law a guy could ever imagine having. I always enjoyed being with her and seeing her smile. She would almost get embarrassed when someone complimented her on her eyes… But Doris had absolutely the most beautiful blue eyes I’ve ever seen. She was a strong woman of faith and loved her Lord daily.
Her family was the whole world to her and she always wanted the best for them. She was so very proud of her grandchildren, that she loved (and spoiled) so very much.
We were all saddened in not being able to visit with her after the Covid nursing home restrictions. Talking on the phone was just not the same as the visits. It was so apparent it took a toll on her, both physically and mentally. I thank the good Lord we were able to bring her home the last couples weeks to be with family. The best two weeks of 2020 by a mile. She was so happy and thankful to be home. I told her we were the lucky ones to have her with us.
Enjoy your pain free body and your glorious reunion with the love of your life, your first child and all the family and friends you’ve missed so much. I find strength in knowing we’ll all be together one day.
May you forever Rest In Peace Doris… I love you more!
