Judith Rita Kirwan, 77, of Grand Forks, North Dakota passed away December 12, 2020 at Excelsior Springs Nursing and Rehab in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
Rita was born May 15, 1943, the daughter of John and Lulu (Beiseker) Ruddy. She grew up in Grand Forks and was married to Edward Kirwan for 13 years. Rita worked a majority of her career at UND/Altru Rehabilitation Center. She faithfully attended The First Church of God.
Rita is survived by her daughter, Kimberly Audette; sister, Carmen Jorgenson; granddaughter, Ashleigh (Andrew) Curfman; granddaughter, Amanda Dewick (Audette); grandson, Blake Audette; great-grandson, Braden Curfman; great-grandson, Granger Curfman; great-grandson, Raynor Dewick; and great-granddaughter, Harper Curfman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John “Judy” and Lulu Ruddy, and her siblings, Marilyn Burgeson, Tom Ruddy, Susan Melville, Peggy Kiel, and Jackie Fichtner.
Private graveside services at Memorial Park South Cemetery in Grand Forks, North Dakota will be held at a later date.
