On December 25, 2020, Marie Theresa (Salerno) Weikman, loving wife and mother of two daughters, passed away at the age of 74 years old. Marie was born on December 22, 1946 in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Michael and Mary Salerno. On April 20,1968 she was joined in marriage to the love of her life, Victor Weikman. They raised two daughters, Michelle and Joyce.
Marie was a homemaker and filled her days with gardening and sewing. She was also a published poet. Marie was known for her lively spirit, independence and love for her family. Anyone who got to know her will be ever changed by doing so.
Marie is survived by her husband, Victor Weikman; daughters, Michelle and Jeff Brown, and Joyce and Richard Crowley; grandchildren, Ashley Weikman, Johnny, Jacob, Cateline, Mathew, and Rachel Perkins, Allison, Abigail, Kimberly, and Courtney Crowley; great grandchildren, Ashlyn and Alliyah Ralls, Ava Venuto, Casey, Nina, and Rylee Perkins, and Mathew Perkins Jr. (Sage) known by Marie as her little peanut; two sisters, Angie and Jeff Ing, and Margaret Lagasse; brother, Michael and Mary Salerno; and many nieces, nephews and cousins Frank Weikman.
In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions to be made either to the Epilepsy Foundation or the Dementia Society of America in honor of her.
A celebration of life and burial will be scheduled for a later date.
