Mark Edward Minder

Mark Edward Minder, 58, went home to be with our Lord and Savior while surrounded by loving family at Liberty Hospital on the evening of Saturday, December 26, 2020.

Mark was born on January 10, 1962 in San Francisco, Calif., to Edward and Sharon (Durr) Minder.

The Minder family moved to Kearney, Mo., in 1972, where Mark attended the Kearney school district. After high school Mark became a certified welder and then joined the Kansas City Brick Layer’s Union where he specialized in water-proofing. In 1993, he began helping his brother at Minder Plumbing and worked there for 27 years. During this time, he received his journeymen’s plumber’s certification.

Mark enjoyed attending NASCAR races, fishing, hunting and watching football, but he was a dedicated Chiefs fan. He also loved John Wayne movies, country and classic rock music, and hanging with friends. Mark’s motto was “if you can’t have a little fun, have a lot of fun.” But ultimately, his two daughters and three grandchildren were the light of his life.

He is preceded in death by his father, Edward J. Minder, and his mother, Sharon K. (Durr) Minder.

He is survived by his two daughters, Stephanie Oliver of Pleasant Valley, Mo., and Jenni and husband, Jake Palmer of Kearney, Mo.; his three grandchildren, Peyton and Preslee Oliver and Jaxon Palmer; his two brothers, Todd and wife, Kathy Minder of Gilbert, Ariz., and Tim and wife, Robin Minder of Liberty, Mo.; and many nieces and nephews.
