Della J. Reid of Kearney died at her home on Monday, February 8, 2021. Della was born to Bill and Faye Collett in Kenvier, Ky.
Her father; husbands, Robert Merrill and Thomas Reid; and brothers, George and Gordon Collett, proceeded her in death.
Della is survived by sons, Ron Merrill and Scott Reid of Kearney, and Daniel (Kelly) Reid of Kansas City; four granddaughters, Nicole (Arnie) Chambers, Landis Merrill, Jessica (Karl) Knowles and Shyanne Reid; great-grandchildren, Elaina and Teddy Chambers; her mother, Faye of Liberty; and sister, Peggy (Timothy) Benton of Momence, Ill.
Della was an amazing woman and a nurse of exceptional skill and compassion.
A Memorial Service will be held at a future date. Cremation rites were accorded.

Please accept my most sincere condolences on Della’s passing on Monday. She will be greatly missed as she was ALWAYS kind and cheerful along with being so generous with her time and considerable talents. May your decades of wonderful memories and her leadership in living life to its fullest make it possible to begin the healing where now there is great angst caused by her absence. She set a very high bar for those of us who are still here. Please keep me up to date as plans for the celebration for her life so well lived come together.
