David Hugh Harness, 71, of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away February 12, 2021, at his home. David was born July 28, 1949, in Ottumwa, Iowa, to Donald and Jean Harness.
David met his wife, Anne, while in college and married May 22, 1970. They went on to have three sons, David, Steven, and Todd. He was a loving father and devoted husband. When he was genuinely amused, his laughter and smile lit up the room. He enjoyed making homemade fudge or popcorn for family movie and game nights.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Donald R. Harness and I. Jean Harness.
He is survived by his wife, Anne; children, David, Steven (Brandi), and Todd; brother, Donald (Susan); 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date.
