In loving memory of Virgil Don Ham Jr., born October 16, 1956 in Artesia, New Mexico, to Virgil D. Ham Sr. and Gene Elizabeth (Clifton) Ham, passed away on April 9, 2021 in Kansas City, Missouri.
Don spent his childhood traveling around the world with his family. He graduated from High School in Hobbs, New Mexico. He attended New Mexico Junior College where he was a member of the rodeo team and participated in the bareback riding events.
He proudly served in the United States Navy from December 1983 to October 1989, and was honorably discharged as Petty Officer Second Class.
Don was an active member of Northern Hills Baptist Church and particularly enjoyed the fellowship during the men’s weekly meetings.
Don was preceded in death by his parents, Virgil and Gene Ham.
He is survived by his son, Jeremy D. Ham and wife, Brandy Ham; his grandchildren, Blake Ham and Bailey Ham; his sister, Geneva Brozovich and husband, Michael Brozovich; brother, Charlie Ham and wife, Deborah Ham; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
After cremation, a memorial service is to be planned for a future date and he will be laid to rest in one of the National Veterans Cemeteries.
