Ruby Lucile (Spidle) Anderson

Ruby Lucile Spidle AndersonRuby Lucile (Spidle) Anderson, age 93, passed away on April 29, 2021, in Excelsior Springs, MO. She was born on January 26, 1928, at Breckenridge, MO. She was the oldest child of eight children of Samuel Samson and Ruby Morsa (Suter) Spidle.  She was a 1945 graduate of Breckenridge High School.  She taught at New Garden School in Excelsior Springs, MO for one year.

Robert L. “Bob” Anderson and Lucile met when they both worked at Ball Clinic in Excelsior Springs, MO. Bob and Lucile were married on July 4, 1948 at Flack Memorial Presbyterian Church. They lived between the Lawson and Lathrop communities during their married life of almost 65 years. Bob passed away on June 13, 2013.  Bob and Lucile were active members of the Lawson United Methodist Church.  They had two children, Nancy Lucile Danner, who survives, and Robert Thomas, who passed away February 21, 2019.

Other survivors include, a daughter-in-law, Katie Anderson, Ash Grove, MO; two sisters, Maxine Lewis, Rocky Ford, CO, and Ialeen Hilter, Alexandria, MN; four sisters-in-law, June Spidle, Liberty, MO, Dessa Spidle, Lindale, TX, Fran Spidle, Watertown, TN, and Helen Anderson, Lawson MO; four grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren; as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Visitation will be 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on May 6, 2021, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home, Excelsior Springs. Funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Burial will be following the funeral at Converse Cemetery.

Memorials may be given to Lawson United Methodist Church or Preferred Hospice.

Our Sincere Condolences

Nancy and family, Paula and I are deeply sorry for your loss. I have very fond memories from my childhood of your mom and dad as well as you and Tommy out at the old Benson place many years ago. Fond memories that I will have forever. If times were different, we would be there. Again, you have are deepest condolences.
