Patricia Mae Russell

Patricia RussellPatricia Mae Russell, 84, Lawson, MO, passed away June 29, 2021, at her home.

Patricia was born May 22, 1937, to Carl “Buster” and Lucretia “Louise” (Schooling) St. John. She married Leonard “Tennessee” Russell on November 11, 1955.   She was a 1956 graduate of Lawson High School.  Pat worked at Whitaker Cable for 17 years.  After retirement she took canvas painting classes and painted a few paintings and liked adult coloring books.  She enjoyed walking Walmart and talking to everyone as she never met a stranger.  She also liked sitting on her new front porch. She was a loyal customer of Catrick’s Café and enjoyed buying mints to share with other customers and especially the children.  She hated wearing shoes.

Pat’s biggest joy was her grandkids and great grandkids, they kept her young and adventurous, she enjoyed going on motorcycle rides with her grandson and riding in the razor with her granddaughter, along with target practicing.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sons-in-law, Mitchell Evans, Toxie Evans and Michael Minnaert.

Pat is survived by her children, Carl (Karen) Russell, Kathy Minnaert and Ruth Ann Evans (Billy Bloss); eight grandchildren and 20 great grands; sister, Mary Fitzgerald; and two nieces, Cindy Thurston and Judy Cleaveland.

A visitation will be held from 6 to 7:30 p.m., Monday, July 5, 2021, at Bross & Spidle Funeral Home Lawson Chapel, 214 N. Pennsylvania, Lawson, MO 64062 with funeral service 11 a.m., Tuesday, July 6, 2021 also at the funeral home, followed by burial at Elmira Cemetery, Elmira, MO.  In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to a charity of donor’s choice.

Our Sincere Condolences

I will always remember hearing our grandparents (your parents) refer to you as Patty Cake, and that is what we knew you by for years. You will be missed, but someday we will all be back together. Love you.
Ken and Cindy Thurston

Dear little sister, I will miss you but I will see you later. I love you Patty Cake.
Mary Fitzgerald

She was a very precious woman! Rarely walked in Lawson Assembly without seeing that sweet smile first thing! Us Hoffecker’s loved her very much!
I’m so sorry I missed her funeral:/ I hadn’t heard of her passing until to late.
We will keep your family in our prayers! Praying God fills that very big void in your hearts!
Valerie Hoffecker

We are so sorry we missed the services but we were unexpectedly put under quarantine. We loved Patsy. She was always such a ray of sunshine and so much fun.
Love,
Marvin and Jackie
