James Wilbur Blair Jr., 86, passed away September 3, 2021, at the home he built for his family in Mosby, MO. He fought heart disease valiantly. He was surrounded by his family and peacefully passed in his daughter’s arms.
He served with the U.S. Marines in the Korean Conflict and was honorably discharged. After his years of service, he worked for the U.S. Postal Service where he retired. He was known to be stubborn and funny. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and a self-reliant man and passed these attributes on to his three children. He worked hard, but loved even harder. He was a husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
James, also known as Jim, is survived by his sister, Elizabeth; wife, Mary Kay; sons, Jimmy and Jason; daughter, Julie; grandchildren, Victoria, Jason, Adriana, and Colt; and great-grandchildren, Bryson and Emerson.
A memorial service will be held at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville at 1 p.m., Friday, September 17, 2021.
