Christine Lucille Williams

Christine Lucille WilliamsChristine Lucille Williams of Excelsior Springs, Missouri, passed away at home on September 18, 2021 after a short battle with lung cancer.

Christine was born on January 18, 1953 to Edith and Wendal Wasson Sr. in Burlington, Iowa. She graduated from Excelsior Springs High School in 1971.

After graduation, she married the love of her life Paul D. Williams on June 18, 1971. Together they had three children, Johnna, Jamie and Paula.

Her first job after high school was at Whitaker Cable which she worked for a number of years. She then worked at Liberty Hospital for 25 years. She retired from Excelsior Springs Hospital in 2013. Chris was a lover of Pepsi and lemon meringue pie. She was an avid reader and a dedicated fan of Law & Order and NCIS. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her three great grandsons and spoiling them rotten!

Christine was preceded in death by her mother, Edith M. Edie; father, Wendal W. Wasson Sr.; husband, Paul D. Williams; and brothers, Wayne Wasson and Ed Wasson.

Survivors include her children, Johnna Craven of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Jamie Williams (Nicole) of Smithville, Mo., and Paula Shelton of Cameron, Mo. She is also survived by three grandchildren, three great grandchildren and two grand-cats.

A celebration of life is planned for October 9, 2021 at the Church of the Nazarene in Cameron, Mo., at 10:30 a.m.
