Helen Barnes Brinker

Helen Barnes BrinkerHelen Barnes Brinker, age 79, died peacefully at her home on October 24, 2021.  Helen was born on October 23, 1942 in Storm Lake, Iowa, to parents Obid and Marvel Barnes.

In her younger years she loved to travel and took many cruises and trips with her husband and friends. She was a kind and caring person who loved spending time with her many grand and great grandchildren.  She loved to read, play games and spend time with her family. She will be missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her loving husband, Morgan Brinker, stepdaughter, Linda Palmer, and granddaughter, Marissa Lamont.

Helen is survived by her brother, Leo (Glenda) Barnes; her three sons, Rex Brinker, Todd (Julie) Brinker, and Vance (Diane) Brinker; and stepdaughter, Judy (Bill) Hungate; her grandchildren,  Zach Brinker, Nathan Brinker, Amber Marx, Tonya Gilstrap, Tierney Martinez, Megan Brinker, Kristen Brinker, Laura Brinker, Melinda Brinker, Mark Hungate, Jess Heinrichs, Judy Phillips, David Palmer, and Erica Taylor; and 21 great grandchildren.

Our Sincere Condolences

I am so sorry to hear of Helen’s passing. I have many, many fond memories of her from years ago. She was the most beautiful person, both inside and outside, I have ever known. My thoughts go out to Rex, Todd, and Vance, and to Judy and Bill.
