John David Hope, 71, of Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2021 surrounded by loved ones. John was born on February 23,1950 to Laurence Beardslee Hope and Mary Cathryn (Simpson) Hope, in Kansas City, Kansas.
After graduating from Pleasant Hill High School, he joined the Air Force and served in Korea during the Vietnam War. He married Maria Consuelo Gomez on July 15, 1972 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. They went on to have two daughters, Sylvia Margaret Hope and Juanita Maria Hope. After 38 years with UPS, he retired and spent time with family and close friends.
John is survived by his wife, Maria; two daughters, Sylvia and Juanita; and five grandchildren, Jesse (27), Christian (25), Daniel (21), Julian (18) and Anna (17).
His final resting place will be at Hillcrest Cemetery, in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.
