Marilyn Rose (Brady) Thompson of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away on November 25, 2021, with her children by her side.
She was predeceased by her husband, Wilbur C. Thompson Jr.; her father, Francis Brady; and mother, Rosella (Flaherty) Brady. She was one of seven proud to be Irish siblings from Iowa who collectively anchored some of the best family gatherings that will be remembered in our hearts. Marilyn had four of her siblings go before her, sisters, Patricia (Brady) Kuchinsky and Margarette (Brady) Orwick, and brothers, Frank Brady and Robert (Bob) Brady.
She is survived by family, friends, and neighbors that will remember her for her gift of gardening, cooking, floral arranging, and of course, her famous pies. Her most important message to her children was the importance of family. She could leave out pertinent details on just about any other story, but never with family.
She leaves the future responsibilities of carrying on this message to her three children, Frank (Lisa) Thompson, Joseph (Karla) Thompson and Sheila (Justin) Gann; as well as sister, Sheila (Brady) Kuestersteffen; brother, Emmett Brady; brother-in law, Warren Thompson; sister-in-laws, Wanda Thompson, Willa (Thompson) Piercy, and Wanita (Thompson) Burke. She also was proud of her seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Our mom will certainly be missed by many, but no more than by us her children. Sheila saw her almost every day, while Frank and Joe called her religiously to start or end our days. We all three realized, and not just because she reminded us often, how important and loved we were by our mother.
Love you forever mom.
Our Sincere Condolences
Beautifully said.
