James Dean Guth, 77, of Excelsior Springs, Mo., passed away on January 1, 2022 at Liberty Hospital.
James “Jim” Guth was born on March 28, 1944 in Kansas City, Mo. He loved to read books that contained any information on our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You could generally find him with a book and a Bible in his hand. He spent most of his days serving God and loving his wife of 44 years.
Survivors include his loving wife, Clara G. Guth; stepsons, Jarold David Gallaway of Excelsior Springs, and Arthur E. Gallaway and wife, Denise, of Richmond; stepdaughters, Tanya D. Clark of Excelsior Springs, Sonya J. Light of Excelsior Springs, and Tina M. Wood and husband, David, of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m., January 5, 2022 at Hillcrest Cemetery, Excelsior Springs, Mo. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Bross and Spidle Funeral Home in Excelsior Springs, Mo.
