Dorothy Elliott Winsborough, 88, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2022 at Oxford Grand Assisted Living & Memory Care at Shoal Creek, Kansas City, MO, after a long battle with dementia.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her mother, Madge Randall Elliott; father, Ray Elliott; husband, Bradford C. Winsborough; and daughters, Kim Winsborough Fouts and Debbie Chambers Rinehart. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Twyla, Norma, and Laura; her two brothers George and Jerry; and her grandson, Steven Bagby.
Dorothy is survived by daughters, Cindy Chambers of Holt, MO, and Karen Winsborough of Scottsdale, AZ; her sons, Robert Chambers of Holt and Bradford Scott Winsborough of Clay County, MO; and step-daughter, Jan Winsborough of Denver, CO. Dorothy Elliott Winsborough leaves five loving grandchildren, Marshal, Lauren Ashley, Toby, Korey Pond Wahwassuck, and Brette Pond Scott. She also leaves great grandchildren, Gage Bagby, Teagan,Tatum and Tucker Chambers, Landyn and Lincoln Scott.
Dorothy was a 1951 graduate of Liberty High School and resided in the Liberty, Missouri area until her family relocated to Lake Havasu Arizona in 1976.
Dorothy was a small business owner with her husband, Bradford. The needs of the Pleasant Valley, MO community were serviced by their convenience store.
Dorothy Winsborough was a devoted Jehovah’s Witness for many years. She was a loyal member of the Congregation in Liberty, Missouri.
Funeral service will be held March 18, 2022 at Fry-Bross-Spidle Funeral Home, 208 S. Jefferson St., Kearney, MO. Visitation will commence at 1 p.m. Celebration of Life will commence at 2 p.m. A private burial service will be held at Mt. Moriah on March 19, 2022.
