Billy Joe McKownBilly Joe McKown, 75, of Excelsior Springs, MO, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022 at home.

Billy Joe McKown was born August 7, 1946 in Excelsior Springs, MO. He was a lifelong resident of Excelsior Springs and loved hunting, fishing and fixing things for his family and friends.  He worked for Ford Motor Company and was a Teamsters Union over the road truck driver as an owner operator for Dallas Mavis Trucking.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Jimmy McKown, Gary McKown, Mary McKown, and Shirley Davis.

He is survived by his children, Scott McKown (Angie), Amy Kane, Cody McKown, and Jordan McKown; his grandchildren, Tyler McKown and Cameron Kane; his siblings, Caroline McGonigle and Terry McKown (Joyce); and numerous nieces, nephews and close friends.

At Billy’s request, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
