Daniel L. LaVigne, 66, of Smithville, Missouri, passed away March 28, 2022, at his home from natural causes.
Dan was born on November 6, 1955, in Augusta, Maine. Dan worked for Pepsi and Coke for several years. He also worked at Proctor & Gamble of Kansas City for 24 years and retired in December 2020. Dan was an avid car enthusiast with a special interest in Fords, especially Mustangs. His favorite hobby was building models with great detail. He was a true “gym rat” and enjoyed lifting weights. He was also a loyal Chiefs fan.
Dan was preceded in death by his parents, Kathleen and Robert LaVigne; brother, Bruce LaVigne; and sister, Kim Allen.
He is survived by sisters, Rose Boswell, Melissa Gamel, and Heather Stockard; brothers, Rob LaVigne, Brett LaVigne, and Quentin LaVigne; as well as several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on May 1, 2022, at Moose Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Moose Lodge in Kansas City, Kansas.
