Kathy Heckert, 70, of Lawson, MO, passed away peacefully on June 30, 2022 at her daughter’s home in Excelsior Springs, MO, following a long illness.
Kathy was born on October 13, 1951 in Saint Joseph, MO, to Pierre “Barry” and Carole Robreau. After graduating from Lafayette High School in 1969, she went on to study both nursing and cosmetology, graduating from Carter’s Beauty School in 1971 and going on to earn her LPN, working at numerous hospitals and nursing homes.
Kathy met her future husband, Rick Heckert, on November 20, 1970. They wed on December 23, 1978. Together, they had two children, Chad and Rebecca.
Kathy left the nursing profession upon learning she would be a new mom, determined to make creating a home for her husband and children her new full-time career. She worked as a loving homemaker from 1984 until her death.
Kathy is survived by her son, Chad and his wife, Lindsey; her daughter, Rebecca; her granddaughter, Clementine; as well as her brothers, Paul and Mark.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Rick, and parents, Pierre and Carole Robreau. A private home memorial service will be held at a later date.
