Karla Vassar Ryan, 41, of Cameron, MO, passed away August 10, 2022 at KU Medical Center.
Ms. Ryan was born September 21, 1980 in North Kansas City, MO. She was a loving sister, aunt and friend, always ready to lend a hand if she could.
She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Vassar; mother, Lisa Vassar; grandparents, John and Eva Vassar and Jack and Charlotte Chrisman; uncle, Joe Chrisman and uncle, Roger Vassar.
Survivors include her significant other, Daniel Craig; sister, Rebecca Anderson; nieces, Regan Keeley and Layla Anderson; nephew, Reese Keeley; brother-in-law, Adam Anderson; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m., August 15, 2022 at Grace Community Church, 1520 DD Hwy., Smithville, MO 64089.

Karla, I am so sad that you are gone from this earth but I understand how you suffered and I know that you suffer no more. We’d not seen each other for a while but I know that we shared so much throughout our lives and the lives of my wonderful children who became friends with you as well. Be with God sweet sister in Christ and I pray that you can feel our love. I will miss the dumb jokes and the time we shared taking care of each other back then. Thank you for your understanding and wise words of caring.

Karla you are my best friend. I miss you with all my heart. I’m going to miss the good times that we had going to Sonic every month. I miss you so much, I’m sorry I wasn’t there. I know you’re in heaven looking down on me. I’ll see you someday again, we’ll go to Sonic and get a strawberry limeade and a cherry limeade with extra cherries and some cheese poppers.
