Robert “Cowboy Bob” Eugene Williams passed away on August 12, 2022. He was born on August 20, 1934 to Bill and Lorraine Williams. Bob and his family ran Chestnut Acres Arabians since 1972. In his lifetime they bred, raised and trained over 350 Arabians.
His first marriage produced a son, Steve. He was married on April 15, 1959 to his second wife, Cheryl (Spangler) Williams. They had a daughter, Teresa Williams Thompson. Bob has two grandchildren, Chris and Jamie Thompson, and many nieces and nephews. On May 12, 2012 Bob married his third wife, June (Chittim) Williams, who survives him. Bob has a living half-sister, Pat Halfmann and a half-brother, Paul Abendroth (Judy).
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter, Tamera Kelly, one sister, Irene Busbee, and two half-brothers, Jim Abendroth (Norma) and Gary Abendroth (Jan).
Cremation by Bross and Spidle Chapels. A graveside memorial will be held at Moore Cemetery in Excelsior Springs, MO, on August 20, 2022 at 11 a.m.
